Nice two bedroom one bath condo close to mountains and Rutland. Small quiet complex. Nicely equipped kitchen and comfortable layout. Owner was easy to work with.
John is very helpful and friendly. House is clean and nice. We have a great time in here.
John's place provided a wonderful summer getaway. We loved the deck that looks out on a beautiful grass and tree filled field. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and pillows were super comfy. The location was also great - easy access to Killington and Rutland for hiking, mt. biking and dining. The only reason I gave it a 4 for cleanliness was due to the pool. It looked like the water/bottom of the pool hadn't been cleaned all season which was very disappointing since it was one of the reasons we chose John's place. The condo itself was 5 star clean. John always responded quickly to any of our questions. We'd definitely stay there again - especially during ski season!
Place is outfitted quite well. The kitchen has pretty much every item you'd want and we cooked a good number of meals in it (could use a new main cutting knife though). There are extension and power cords with extra plugs exactly where you'd want them (like in the middle of the big couch), they have extra hdmi wires out of the tv, just smart thinking for convenience. You're also only 15 min away from Killington, even closer to Pico. Plenty of couch space, a nice little balcony, and everything is well maintained. Water pressure is fantastic as well (should get an optional handheld unit for the shower). Had to ask someone where to put the garbage as it wasn't in our section, so directions to that prior would be good to include. My only real complaint is that the electric heater in the 2nd room is a bit loud, so I had to keep it completely off during the night in order to fall asleep. Also the wifi is a bit slow as everyone in the condo seems to be running on the same connection node. Could possibly use a new sound bar as well as it's a bit finicky. Overall though, enjoyed our 9 day visit and would stay there again.
The place was good and the owner is super responsive, but not directly on site—fortunately a complex associate was on staff. Make sure you pre-read the 20+ check list, I don’t ever read the T&Cs before an e-transaction, but make sure you do here. Like others have said, we had some serious challenges with the heating system, but the place is great.
Great location for a ski weekend, checkin and out couldn’t of been easier. Condo was exactly as described and a wonderful place to stay. The host was very quick with response and made the whole process so easy. Would definitely stay and agin and %100 recommend this condo for anyone in the future.
Great condo! I couldn’t have asked for a better space. It had modern finishes while still maintaining a Vermont cabin feel. It really took our boarding trip to the next level. I was worried about location but it was 10 minutes to the base of killington and 15 minutes to get to K1. Had 4 other bros stay n fit 5 with ease. Definitely will stay here in the future.

The owner had a great move in instructions list and even pre heated the home before arrival. Super detailed explanations of current Covid rules were appreciated. Will be back again. Smart Home is a plus and no keys needed! John seems to have been in the rental biz a while now because we realized this is not the 1st time renting one of his homes. The experience shows. The only downer was the outdoor pool was closed but we enjoyed the tennis courts anyways and it was too cold for the pool in any event.
John is a great host. He is very quick to respond to any questions and he even preheated the condo a few hours before we checked in, a huge plus. The condo is very close to Pico mountain, and about 10-15 to all of the Killington bases.

This space was perfect for our friend trip. There was plenty of room for everyone, and John was very clear about the details of the space. Great location for Pico Mountain, and short accessible drive to Killington Mountain. Also, great water pressure in the shower.
John's condo was perfect for our three person ski trip to Killington. Being 15 minutes from the mountain made it easy to get there when the lifts opened and made the journey back after a long day really easy. The beds are extremely comfortable; we all slept like logs. Check in was a cinch, and we had a great time!
Good location and appreciated the directions to the condo in the notes and website. Had to call/text for the entry code as that wasn't given ahead of time, having it would've been checking in easier. Otherwise it's a very nice and clean condo, lived up to expectations and very close to Killington and Pico. Wouldnt hesitate to rent again.
Comfortable space with lots of room for our family of five. Well equipped and 2 minutes for Pico and less than 10 minutes Killington.
I stayed at this amazing place from 9/3/18-9/6/18 for a ski vacation. The car ride up was scenic and quick. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the condo was newly renovated, super clean and looked better than the photos! Bedroom was clean and spacious with the most comfortable beds.The check-in process was fast and easy. During our stay Johnny was very responsive and walked us through everything. I wanted a short getaway vacation and we could not have asked for anything better. I will definitely be coming back!

The condo was cozy and warm and had everything we needed with pots pans and utensils. Stayed here for Spartan BEAST RACE with a group of 5. easy accessible place "KILLINGTON GATEWAY CONDOMINIUM" I highly recommend this spot it would be great to do a ski trip at this place. i would definitely book this place again.
We had a ladies weekend and so very much enjoyed staying here. The place had everything we needed, the beds were perfect and the sheets were ultra soft! The location was great for touring the area. John was very attentive to all of my questions and I never felt that I was being a bother. It was a great weekend!
From the moment I drove into the parking lot and stepped foot in the condo I realized I made an excellent choice. The condo had everything my daughters and I could possibly need and more for our stay. The gas fireplace was awesome, and the Bosch dishwasher dealt with some pretty gnarly meals I made during my stay with ease. When I say centrally located I mean it. Located smack dab in between the town of Killington (home of Killington ski area) and the city of Rutland, it's perfectly situated. The area has many attractions for the vacationer to visit. If that's not enough you're located 1 hour east of Lake George, NY, 1 hour west of White River Junction VT and West Lebanon, NH and 30 minutes West of picturesque Woodstock, VT. As you can see there are a plethora of activities within an hour's drive. Speaking as a father of two teenagers (17 and 19) as well as a 9 -year-old, there are countless activities for both them and me.
About the condo, as I stated before it was stocked with everything we needed for our stay and more. Each bedroom as well as the main living area had flatscreen TVs hooked up to the local cable service (Comcast) in addition the TV in the main living area had a Blu-ray DVD player which besides playing regular and blue Ray DVD's it was also hooked up to Netflix and surroundsound, there were a few older DVDs available. Bedroom number 1 had DVD player and bedroom number 2 had a PlayStation (not being a gamer myself I couldn't tell you what version PlayStation it was) however, there was selection of six games or so.
The owner John was a pleasure to deal with and for those times that I had questions he got back to me in a timely manner. As a teacher and a customer service associate I highly valued this. He could not have been more open and honest during the whole rental process and during my stay. I would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose. Thanks John. Just so you know Google maps from my smart phone was able to find the condo with ease.
The place is really in a nice quiet place. We were 4 friends and there was plenty of room. Make sure you read carefully John directions because GPS won't get you there!

Recently stayed for for a 4 night ski vacation with a couple friends. Condo was very spacious and we had plenty of room to relax after a day on the slopes. John was very patient with me as this was my first time renting on homeaway. I will definitely be staying here next time I am coming up to VT.
Great place to stay if looking to ski at Pico. The condo fiit 5 people comfortably and came with a pretty awesome collection of DVD and VHS tapes including The Warriors.

We stayed at the condo two weekends in a row! Both weekends were very enjoyable. The condo makes you feel right at home. All the Kitchen supplies are fully equipped which is super awesome after a day on the slope, we were able to cook hot family meals, and the dishwasher is a big PLUS!
The condo is a very convenient location where it only couple of minutes to Killington Ski Resort, and only about 45min from Okemo. Its perfect for a couple of friends getting together to hit the slope over the weekends.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Gateway condo for anyone that wants to relax with a few friends or family in Killington. This is definitely my go-to home for killington from now on. LOVE THE PLACE!

I stayed at this condo a few weeks ago with my family and we had a great time. There was so much to do; biking, pool, tennis courts etc. The condo is super clean and the BBQ outside was perfect for cooking after a day at the pool. Great for a summer vacation with friends or family.

This place is GREAT! Its the second time I have stayed here and both times have been perfect. Johnny is great to deal with. He's very accomidating and offers great advice on what to do and where to go. Killington is a blast during the winter with all the skiing, dining, and night life. I have recently found out how great summer is as well. There are more trails than one can count so the hiking is top notch and you cant beat the down hill mountain biking, but beware, it gets INTENSE!!! Im not one to write reviews often but I feel this place really deserves it and I HIGHLY recommend staying here.

The condo was clean, warm, spacious room and facilities in good conditions. Very good for 4 people but definitely okay for more.
Location of the condo is also nice, right next to Pico Mont, within 10 mins drive to the Killington resort and the small town near by for grocery and food. we had a lot of fun on the monts and in the condo.
Would love to be there again when the snow come back !!

I learned to snowboard up in Killington, VT and have stayed at this condo at the Gateway quite a few times. John is an enjoyable renter to work with and answered any questions I had.
The condo is amazing and I enjoyed watching TV (before my daily nap) after the slopes. There is a PS2 so make sure to bring your favorite game! It is very clean, comfortable and cozy that it is super easy to make yourself feel right at home. I enjoyed cooking dinners in the kitchen with all of the new appliances and necessary equipment.
Not only is the actual condo great, but the location is very convenient as well. It is just a short drive from both Pico and Killington ski resorts (which to this day are still my favorite mountains). The access road on the way to Kililngton mountain has hundreds of great restaurants perfect for a quick bite after the mountain or a nice dinner later on in the evening.
Another great thing about Killington is the night life. There are so many fun places to go at night. John's condo is close to all of these places as well. Make sure you don't drink and drive! A cab would be more than willing to take you where you need to go. In the kitchen of the condo, near the fridge is the number for a cab service!
I have also had the opportunity to stay at John's condo in the summer! The Gateway has a beautiful in-ground pool and two full size tennis courts. Awesome awesome! I have never been much of an outdoor adventure type of person but I had a blast there in the summer. Killington offers downhill mountain biking and Pico has an alpine slide!
There are so many great reasons to visit Vermont and staying at John's condo at the Gateway made it even more enjoyable than I could ask for.
We came first in the fall for leafpeeping. The foliage and mountain vistas were breath-taking. It was so quiet and relaxing at night with the brisk fall air coming in from the deck. With the fully-equipped kitchen, we didn't do much eating out. The condo is beautifully furnished, immaculate, and comfortable. The second time we came, we brought the grandkids in the winter. The teens spent their time snowboarding and said the snow was the best ever! We took the younger ones on the skyride at Pico and got hot chocolate at the overlook. The snowcovered trails were magical for the little ones. They enjoyed it all; snowmen, snowballs, and making angels in the snow. For the first time in my life, taking off all those boots and snowsuits was an easy task. The condo's foyer has a bench for sitting the kids on and the carpet keeps the snow from being tracked everywhere! And the teens loved the mirrored double closet doors there. Good for checking out those snowboarding fashions before leaving for the day! At night, bathtime for the little ones wasn't a problem. The tub/shower is separate from the commode, so there isn't any door knocking from those who can't wait another minute! And for those who didn't like a TV channel, no problem, there's a TV in every room. Which made our nights quiet and peaceful sitting by the fireplace, enjoying a last cup of coffee and looking through the glass sliders at the moon-lit snow. We enjoyed breakfasts at a near-by restaurant. We found the restaurants very family-friendly in the area. Now it's time to come and enjoy a summer by the pool and shop in all those quaint shops we didn't have time for before! Definately our home away from home. I think later on when the teens are older, we'll be in competition for bookings. While we were driving back to the condo at night, they were very interested and commented on the night-life in the area!
